Why 62mm?

The 62mm bore isn't an arbitrary number — it's the largest diameter that can be safely machined into factory-style Z32 intake manifolds without risking thin-wall casting failure. More bore means more airflow, and more airflow means more power potential, particularly at higher boost levels. To take advantage of this, your intake manifold inlets will need to be opened up to 62mm — a straightforward machine shop job (or a couple of hours with a grinder) that unlocks everything these throttle bodies can offer.

Engineered for High Boost and High Vacuum

One of the core design goals was building a throttle body that performs at the extremes — both under high boost and at idle/deceleration vacuum conditions. That's a harder problem than it sounds, and it's why these stand apart:

  • High-temperature O-ring replaces the factory paper gasket — a better seal, every time

TPS Options — Cable and DBW Ready

These throttle bodies were designed hand-in-hand with Polar Engineering's upcoming drive-by-wire conversion system for the Z32. That means TPS compatibility is built in from the ground up:

  • HELLA TPS mount (default) — modern single-channel sensor for throttle-by-cable setups; sensor available as an add-on
  • Factory TPS mount — for those keeping the factory Z32 throttle position sensor; mounting plate included at no extra cost
